Cold rolled, or 'cold reduced', steel sheet displays greater strength than its hot rolled counterpart, though the process of manufacturing it is much the same.
The result is a highly reliable mild steel plate with uniform thickness which has proven high performance in a number of applications. Our mild steel CR4 sheet is available in a number of set sizes, making it perfect for fabricating on site.
This mild steel sheet benefits from the formability which the lower carbon content of mild steel affords, and can be easily worked in any number of ways. It is extremely receptive to cutting, drilling and welding making it an ideal material for repair work; especially in the automotive industry for example where it can be used to repair vehicle chassis’, tanks and trailers.
All of our cut pieces of cold rolled mild steel plate is 1mm thick and is delivered pre-cut.
