I needed some large-ish steel pins to secure a workbench top to it's base. They had exactly what I needed, it was very reasonably priced, AND they were able to cut it to order (saving me hours with a hacksaw!). The cuts were dead-accurate and the pins were at my doorstep in a couple of days. I couldn't be happier and will definitely come back for my metal needs.

What more can i say it does what it says on the tin :) Bends very easy in virtually any shape you want, ok with a bit of heat that is. Cuts very easy & Nice to weld. Would recommend depending on your project.

This was my first dealing with your company and it has been a revelation, the ordering process was simple, the total price was quick and the delivery was exactly as you said. I ordered several lengths of ERW steel tube to make wishbones for my new kit car. Even before I placed an order they had been more than helpful with advice and recommendations. The items were delivered next day, well packaged and in good condition. I did notice in particular that the ends of the packaging had been reinforced, something that is forgotten by so many other companies and can result in missing parts. I look forward to using the metal, and I would order from Austen Knapman again.

I needed 18 450mm lengths of 10mm rebar to secure shuttering for a hexaganol concrete base. Not a massive order but was shipped in a couple of days and saved me the hassle of hacksawing for a day. Great service. Will definitely use again.

I am slowly moving in to the 21st century and found the process of finding the website as easy as the ordering process with the cost of fuel it is so much easier to order this way than to send a driver to collect from say Colchester or Ipswich i am sure i will be ordering a lot more in the future for the two local dock companies i supply.Thanks Michael Hill
Fast and efficient service. Item was available for collection within a couple of hours.
Needed a 2.5mtr section of 90mm square 5mm thick. Rang several other suppliers that someone had recommended. Most said don't do 90mm not common enough size. Others said have to take 7m length minimum. Others wanted £65 for delivery alone. Visited AK site. Easy to use on line ordering system. Next day delivery, cut to my required size and almost half the price of all the other quotes I received. I will definately be recommending and using AK again.
