My local metal supplier is so expensive it makes projects to expensive to do so I was glad to find Austen Knapman online who's prices are very keen. Sadly the postage gives it a big bump up but the posting steel is never going to be cheap. Great service good product. Only thing I would say is that whilst I know steel comes oily and dirty, a wipe with a rag wouldn't go amiss before posting, it's not going to rust in the post and my hands were filthy just in wrapping it. Will definitely use again.

Used this bar as a drift where the accuracy of the dimensions were important. Dimension accuracy was better than 1 mm and the bar satisfied the requirement. Great to see so much care taken with the packaging and no hesitation recommending the company
So pleased to have discovered this excellent company. Built my own press for car related projects. The metal bars formed the top part of the cage. I have just rebuilt the rear suspension on my car and tested the bars by using the press to press out the trailing arm shafts. Worked perfectly for both pressing out and pressing in. The bars were beautifully packed and arrived relatively quickly - and the dimensions were spot-on. Can't recommend this company too highly and will certainly use again.

The rebar was exactly what I needed for building a small retaining wall, can't fault this. Was also really impressed with the website, so few websites are this was to use and able to provide an instant quote on cut to length items. Delivery cost was fair and prompt.
