I needed a very short (130mm) square box section to raise the height of the hitch on my trailer by 60mm. Most places were only interested in selling much longer pieces than I needed. Austen Knapman enabled me to chose the box section size (60mm) and metal thickness (5mm) that I wanted. I got exactly what I needed without waste. Terrific :)
After trawling round local builders merchants, who were all unable or reluctant to supply my rebar in a small pre-cut quantity, and online retailers with exorbitant delivery charges, I stumbled across Austen Knapman. Their easy to use ordering system and reasonable delivery charges made them the obvious choice for my small build. As an added bonus, there was even a field in the order form where I could leave instructions for the delivery driver to place the items in a discrete location in the event that I was not at home. Accurately cut to size, packaged well, but had extensive surface corrosion which was only made worse due to the packaging holding the moisture in. Required significant preparation before being able to weld. Fast dispatch and delivery.
