I needed 30 galvanised poles cut to 600mm lengths, to be used as part of 15 bespoke bike racks, this was a rush job. Ordered on line on the weekend, backed it up with a phone call Monday morning, I spoke to a very helpful young lady, explained the urgency of this order, it was delivered Wednesday am. The parcels were well wrapped in sensible size groups so not too heavy, all cut ends had been cleaned up so no sharp edges. All told, an excellent service, Austen Knapman will be my first port of call, next time I need help with metal products.

After the winy weather recently my fruit cage was buckled and broken beyond repair. Angle iron seemed like the best long term solution. I was delighted with the ease of ordering, the advice given over the phone, and the speed of delivery. I was amazed that 5m + lengths could be courier delivered without any problem. And calculating my requirements was easy using the online calculator provided. The material was cut to millimetre accuracy, ready for drilling and painting. I required 3 pieces of channel and could not get any place local to supply me with the pre-cut short pieces I wanted. Also they were all insisting on having to purchase a minimum of several meters long. I ordered my steel online from Austen Knapman and it was dealt with immediately. The steel was delivered very quickly ( In a couple of days ) The channel section is great for fabrication work with the sides being true parallel section not like the slightly tapered stuff some firms supply. This company was a great find for me, as I do various small one of projects and I would recommend them to anybody requiring quality pre cut steel. Superb 5 Star service. Delighted.
